BioMotive awarded €20 million NWO grant

BioMotive has received a €20 million grant from the Dutch Research Council (NWO) through the Large-Scale Research Infrastructure programme.
The funding supports two complementary research facilities: an open 0.5 tesla MRI scanner at the University of Twente for upright imaging, and a planned 3 tesla walk-in MRI scanner at UMC Utrecht for measurements during movement.
Together, these facilities will support research into cardiovascular function, the musculoskeletal system and metabolism. The infrastructure is intended for scientific research.
