The 0.5 Tesla Paramed scanner will enable MRI in different body positions, including lying, sitting and standing. Its open design allows researchers to study the body under natural weight-bearing conditions.
The scanner will support research into the effects of posture and loading on anatomy and function. It will also provide a platform for preparatory research for the 3T walk-in-bore system.
